The Quantum Matter Synthesizer (QMS) quantum simulation apparatus combines a triangular optical lattice with a programmable tweezer array generated by a digital micromirror device (DMD). We aim to use the tweezers to rearrange atoms within the optical lattice into custom patterns in order to conduct Hubbard-type quantum simulations. We present the cooling and imaging schemes and our method of streaming tweezer potentials onto the atoms with the DMD. We also discuss future experiments in which we will use the QMS as a node of a quantum network.
