Neutral atoms trapped in tweezer arrays are promising candidates for quantum computing. At Eindhoven University of Technology, we are developing a strontium-based quantum processor unit intended as the qubit hardware for our full-stack quantum computer. This poster highlights our progress in loading atoms into tweezer arrays and outlines the plans to use these atoms as qubits. The atoms were cooled to a temperature of 3.7(7) µK using the blue and red transitions of Sr. Subsequently, the atomic cloud is overlapped with a 2-D array of optical tweezers projected using a spatial light modulator and high-resolution microscope objective. The atoms will be sorted into defect free arrays using movable optical tweezers controlled by acousto-optic deflectors. Single-qubit gates will be achieved by an ultra-stable laser driving the clock transition of Sr with site-selective addressability. Entanglement gates are planned to use a global UV laser coupling atoms to a Rydberg state.
