Periodically driven systems that exhibit chaotic behavior are interesting for the study of thermalization. The onset of heating is associated with extreme sensitivity of Floquet eigenstates to perturbations in the drive. This sensitivity can be quantified by the fidelity susceptibility, which requires knowledge of the matrix elements of the perturbing observable in the Floquet basis. Any experimental procedure to obtain these elements will necessarily require many observations, so it is useful to prepare Floquet eigenstates as quickly as possible. In this work we propose using shortcuts to adiabaticity (STA) for state preparation to facilitate experiments.
